Reserved

I really like this little ceremony detail. I could use the same ribbon I choose to use for the pompadore balls. The chairs at the Piper Palm House are the same style as these ones.

Play that funky music...

We finally booked a dj! Like almost everything else, we went off of recommendations from friends and family. We are using the same company that Kim and Brian had at their wedding.

Everyone danced the night away for their wedding, so hopefully the same will be true for ours. Bring your dancing shoes, its only 7 months till boogie time. :) Start getting your song requests in now. Sorry I'm vetoing the hokey poky and YMCA.

MOB Dress

My Mom finally went dress shopping and she picked out a gorgeous dress. She was also able to find shoes to go with it the same day. Way to go mom! She is going to look great. :)

Flowers 2

Finally as promised here are a few pictures from when we visited the florist in December.
My bouquet is going to be all white and lined with hydrangea leaves, similar to below.

All of the girls will have these fuji(spider) mums in this shade of purple. The base of them will be lined with leaves also. Giving them the same look as mine.
The men will have purple mini calla-lilies and Steve will have a white orchid.

The reception flowers will be white hydrangeas and the purple fuji mums. :)

Kissing Tree

I just came across this new site, Kiss the Groom. It looks like it is going to be a really cute new site. On it is this sweet thing called the Kissing Tree. You can do it as many times as you like. Below is my Kissing Tree with Sarah Loves Stephen "carved" into it. Enjoy.

Lazy Sunday

I have a ton I want to blog about this week. I thought I would start it all off by showing everyone how Chewie likes to spend his Sundays...being lazy. Sunday is always laundry day here are the James-Kozlen household and Chewie just jumps at the chance to help us out. Not really. hehe
He prefers napping under the clean clothes pile to helping us fold and hang things up. :)

He is always soooo cute! :)

Valentine's Day

We had a wonderful valentine's day yesterday. We don't get too into the whole holiday, like get each other gifts and things but we did go out to a nice dinner last night. But I will get to that in a moment. During the day we went out to the Legends to do some shopping and both Steve and I discovered that we have gone down a pants size! All of the working out and eating well is paying off. I actually had to ask the fitting room girl if the work pants I was trying on looked alright, cause I am not used to pants fitting well anymore. haha. I am excited to get to wear them tomorrow. I did not have any luck finding new tops, but I guess I can't buy everything at once. hehe.

So for dinner last night we decided to try a new place, City Tavern. It was in the historic Freight Building downtown. And it was one of the best dinning out experiences I have ever had and we eat out a lot. The food was excellent and the service was even better. They had a few mess-ups with our dinning, nothing big at all and neither Steve or I was concerned with it and they made up for it big time. We got free oysters and 2 free beers. I could go on and on about how great it was but I will spare you from having to read about it any more. :)

Oh also, Steve tried on and wore a suit he has been dying to get into for years now. It is a vintage suit he picked up when we went to San Fransisco in 2005. I am so proud of him for fitting into it. He looked super handsome. :)

Steve and Sarah Come on Down....

Steve and I found someone to marry us, Bob Barker! No not that Bob Barker, he is busy being retired from the Price is Right. Hehe This Bob Barker resides in St Louis and is a retired minister. We met with him this past Saturday at his house. It was a very nice meeting. I think he will do a wonderful job with our ceremony. We are looking forward to working with him to plan out all of the details.

Hair Comes the Bride

My friend Katie told me about this site Hair Comes the Bride that has a ton of bridal hair accessories(thanks KTG!). I found these two flowers on there. I am not sure that they will be as big as the one in the bridal shop, but they are priced better. Probably cause these ones were not blessed by the pope. :)I like this one a lot. It reminds me of the magnolia one from Simply Elegant.

I thought this one was neat cause it will match the flowers of the bridesmaid's bouquets. Speaking of I don't think I ever posted pictures from when we went to the florist! I will have to do that soon.

Registering

I made Steve and I an appointment this morning to go to a wedding registry event at Crate and Barrel. They open the store early on a few Sunday mornings for couples to come in and register. We are set up to go on March 1.

Other than Crate and Barrel I think we have decided we will register at Bed Bath and Beyond and Macy's. Which we probably will not do until March or after also. I am going to go through a registry check list this afternoon to see what all we may want to register for. :)
