The Move is On!

The move to Seattle is now officially on! Two men came over on Wednesday and packed up the stuff in the house that I had not yet packed. And then the house was officially filled with boxes everywhere!

Thursday two different men came and loaded up the boxes and all the furniture into a truck. Don't worry our house did not take up this whole truck. It was maybe about a third of the truck. This took a large part of the day, but when it was done our house was empty. It was sad, but also a good feeling knowing that this is finally happening.

Whats next? Well it has already started...my good friend Sarah L, Chewie, Yuri and I are off on a 5 day road trip across the country. Be on the look out for updates along the way!

Easter Weekend

I got to go visit Steve over easter weekend. It was on a whim. I had planned to spend easter with my good friend Lauren and her family. But at 2pm that Friday Steve called and was looking at plane tickets and we were trying to figure out when a good weekend would be for me to come and visit. No weekends seemed to be good ones. Next thing I knew Steve had booked me a ticket and I was flying out at 8pm that night!
It was a super short visit but it was worth it. I forgot to take many pictures while I was there but here are a few...
We went to Pike Market and strolled around. Had some wonderful seafood (crab omlette & the biggest oyster shooters ever)
Love all the flowers!
I also got to check out the condo we are going to live in and we signed the lease on it that weekend. I felt better about it getting to see it in person. It is going to be an adjustment for sure though.

We went to an awesome farmers market in our neighborhood(Ballard). More to come on this place I am sure once I am moved up there.
Thank you Steve for just up and buying a plane ticket. It was a much needed weekend together and I had a blast!

Saucer Party

Before Steve left for Seattle we had our party at the Flying Saucer commemorating our accomplishment of drinking 200 different beers each. It also doubled as a goodbye party for Steve.

Tina and I attempted to create some Star Wars cookies for the party. They were tasty.

Our plates! #223 & 224 on the wall of honor.

Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate with us. It was a great time!

House for Sale?

Well I seem to have gotten behind on posting. We have had a lot going on though. For starters we put our house up for sale!

We even buried a St Joseph statue in the yard for good luck. (Thanks Aunt Nancy for sending it to us!)

If you aren't familiar with doing this, some believe that burying a St Joseph statue in your yard will help sell your house. You can read more here.

Well we are anxious people and we have a deadline looming. I was only going to be working for two months after we put the house up for sale and after then we would have a mortgage and rent to pay, with just one income. So we really weren't giving St Joesph not much time to do his magic. After a month on the market we put the house up for rent, as well as still for sale. The first people to come and view the house to rent wanted it! So we choose to just rent the house for now and sell later. It is a huge weight off of both Steve and I to know that someone will be in the house and the mortgage on top of rent does not have to be a worry right now.

Hopefully I will have more updates soon!
