Jam Packed Summer

Summer is just about here and I am excited for everything we have planned. We have a jam packed schedule for the coming months. Here are the things we have planned from now through the beginning of July. Not many weekends free!

- BBQ to commemorate Steve's first home brewed beer
- Corporate Challenge events, 5K and Softball for sure. I haven't played softball since 7th grade. I doubt my skills are any better now than they were then though!
- SL, Mike & Tina visit to KC, in combination with the Crawl for Cancer
- Jessica Graduates from High School
- Beach House - Texas
- Black Keys concert
- Nicki & Matt's wedding
- Jessica's graduation party
- Kim and Brian visit KC - Boulevard tour and Cards vs Royals Game
- NJ/NYC with Steve and Jessica

Some things we might also be doing:
- Camping with Leslie & Paul
- Dogs Night Out - a 3 Dog Bakery sponsored event where you go out to eat with your dogs!
- Float trip?
- Hopefully going to Schlitterbahn some time.

Weekend In St Louis

We spent a few weekends ago in St Louis. We didn't have much of an agenda, but to hang out with some friends and it was great. Here are a few highlights from our trip.

This is how we have to travel now with two dogs. Chewie gets the first choice of a spot and Yuri goes wherever he can fit, even it it is on top of Chewie!

Jessica had a lacrosse tournament, so we went watch one of her games. It is an interesting sport. Not quite sure I get it, but interesting. Plus it was fun getting to see J play a sport, we don't get to many of her games.

Kim, Brian and Leah came to the game also. So we got in some quality niece time.

Shes so cool in her hot pink sunglasses. :)

Chillin with Uncle Steve in her sun hat.

Everyone at the Cards Game. Early in the evening. We stayed for only 14 of the 20 innings this game lasted!

Pretty ladies pic.

Half Marathon

Two weekends ago Steve and I participated in our 2nd half marathon, the Olathe Half to be exact. We both did really well, beating our previous half marathon times set at the Kansas City half back in October, by 18 mins each! A few other changes to this half, besides kicking butt, was our friends Lauren and Katie also ran this one. And we had people along the way cheering us on! My mom and mama came to town Friday night and braved the early morning to come out and cheer us on. I was so happy to have them there and really impressed at the navigating skills they had, being in a city they did not know and trying to find us along the race route. I saw them 4 times!

Me heading towards the finish line. So glad to be done!

My half ladies. :) We spent the 12 weeks training for this race emailing each other each week about our training. It really helped keep me motivated to run each week.

Surprise! Drake and Brandi showed up when we finished the race and surprised me with flowers. So sweet of them.
